About This Blog
Hi. I'm a commercial airline pilot based at Incheon
International Airport in South Korea.
I fly almost every day. The cockpit is my office,
and Korea is where I live and work. This blog exists
because people ask me a lot of questions — about
turbulence, about what pilots actually do on long
flights, about whether lightning can bring down a
plane, about the best seat to pick, about what to
eat when they land in Seoul.
I figured I should write the answers down somewhere.
Everything here comes from real experience in the
flight deck and on the ground in Korea. Not from
travel brochures. Not from press releases. From
actually being here, every week, in every season.
